The Content, in the entertainment parlance, is the way a tale is told in audio-video format, and whatever the mode of delivery, the box-office works only if the content is good, and hence, content is king. However, it does not seem to work anymore since many entertainment companies have long written off a lot of “content” worth billions.

Content Is King When Quantity Is High

Coming back to the internet, Google’s “Content is King” refers explicitly to textual content on the basis of which it indexes a website through relevant keywords and key phrases. So, content that is unique and has a fair amount of keywords and key phrases which are relevant to a website makes sure that it appears on Google indices.

Although initially, it takes some time for the website to show in the indices, once there, it will be periodically monitored. For better results, it is best to submit your website to Google Analytics and other search engines like Bing and Yahoo.

Now, apart from the web content that you already have on your website that you may change periodically, you cannot get Google to index it higher with the same content time and again, can you? The solution — simple, write a few more articles about the products and services that you offer, sprinkle them fairly with your keywords and key phrases that you have already use on the internet, and submit them to article directories. This has a three-fold advantage.

a. For the keywords and key phrases that you use in the article, put in two or three hyperlinks that point to your website. Google sees them as relevant back links and helps your index position go up.

b. If your articles are good and have informative content, readers would click on the links to get to your website. This helps your traffic, business as well as your Alexa ranking.

c. The more content you have strewn around, the more back links you have, Google interprets this as major relevance and advances your site index further bringing it to the top of the engine in due time.

If you can do this regularly and to more directories, the more the back links and better is your ranking. Reflecting back on what we have just discussed, it is apparent that good links as well as more links are what help your cause in search engine marketing. So, content is king and quantity is high, content is “emperor.”

Facts do not change and neither will Google, so make sure that you have an article marketing plan ready and going so that your website keeps ranking on the top of Google. It is most probable that if you rank high on Google, you will rank almost parallel on other search engines like Bing or Yahoo, although it is not necessarily so.

  5. Don’t use lots of fancy colors, exclamation marks, and full stops- If you do this you will make your site look silly. Silly sites don’t get taken seriously; in fact, a silly site will get you nowhere! Oh yeah, and don’t constantly write in caps lock! That would be amateur and silly too!
  6. Use the present tense-There is no time like the present when it comes to website creation and making money online! Quit wallowing in the past!
